We have a new logo!

MMU's Ecological Genetics & Conservation research group finally has a logo. The diverse range of topics and study organisms across our research group is hard to encompass under one clean graphic, so we have chosen to use the eccentric mangrove. Not only do a couple of members of the Rowntree and Preziosi labs work on mangroves, but these plant represent the transition from land to sea – so given that our work spans everything from bacteria to whale sharks, from bryozoans to bee guts, from frogs to abaca banana, and many more systems, something that breaches the land-sea barrier seems appropriate. The design was conceptualised by post-doc Sarah Griffiths and research assistant Alexandria Gabb, and realised by PhD student Xaali O'Reilly Berkeley.
